When you receive a Starting date please use the following information as a guide:
Please arrive about 15 minutes early on the first Training session so that we can complete the Registration information which will include checking your Dogs Vaccination certificate.
At weekly Training sessions please make sure your Dog identity disc/plate is attached to the collar and has on it your Surname, Address, Postcode and as many telephone numbers you can fit onto the disc/plate.
Please make sure the collar & lead are suitable for your Puppy/Dog and fits correctly (We can give you general advice about this). Extending leads are not suitable in a Training situation.
Make sure you have sufficient "Dog waste disposal" bags.
Please bring with you a "Dog play toy" (other than a ball) and a grooming brush that you use for your Dog.
Dog treats will be used as a Training aid for some exercises, so please make sure you have a supply of your dogs favourite treats with you.
To reduce cash handling during COVID-19 the Puppy Foundation course payment has been revised from weekly payments to a cash prepayment fee of £20-00 for coverage of the 12 Kennel Club training exercises over an 6 to 8 an eight week period, plus an annual handlers registration fee of £3-00 for one handler and £4-00 for two, all payable at the first training session.
Non attendance will be counted as a training week included in the fee.
Should the Training not be completed by the end of 8 weeks then additional weeks can be purchased until the course has been completed.
Our training session exercises are planned from week to week according to peoples progress on the Puppy Foundation Training, if you are unable to attend any of the Training sessions please let us know so we can modify our training exercises to suit.
Should you not attend for 3 consecutive weeks without informing us, then we will have to assume that you no longer wish to continue and we will offer your Training place to the next person on our waiting list
